I realized today that I didn’t post on Sunday, or yesterday. I have a routine for posting when I do and Sundays are hard on that routine with me having to leave the house earlier for church. Then, I have a Bible Study in the afternoon that I lead. I generally write later on Sundays. Only this week, I had to add in driving my wife to handbell [sic] so she could practice. Yesterday, I was consumed with her surgery and recovery and missed posting again.

So, why do I need to drive her? Why did I deliberately say handbell instead of handbells? Why did she have surgery? She already had a broken ankle and was riding a knee walker to keep from putting weight on the foot. While going to a meeting at work, she hit a rock with her knee walker which threw everything off balance and she fell and broke her wrist. Since she can’t drive with a broken wrist, I’m her chauffeur. Since she only has one usable hand right now, I used our family joke about “handbell.” She broke the wrist so bad, that surgery was necessary to repair it.

Today, I have plenty of downtime, sitting with my wife who’s still recovering, so I should catch up.
