Hebrews 6:13-20; Exodus 1:1-2:25; Psalm 40
I have discovered that I have bad days when I am often trying to make sure things go right for me. Those are the days when I act as if I believe the world revolves around me. The driver who cuts in front of ME. The student who won’t listen to ME. The same events may happen on my good days. On those days I am more focused on God. “But let all who seek you celebrate and rejoice in you. Let those who love your salvation always say, ‘The LORD is great!’” (Psalm 40:16) My attitude changes based on how I recognize God’s presence in my life. The more I recognize His presence, the better I am able to deal with annoyances and problems in life. As I make things more about myself, the troubles mount and I have difficulty dealing with the problems. The key to dealing with problems in life is giving those problems to the Lord and focusing on Him. If we celebrate and rejoice in the Lord, we can get through a lot of difficulties. As you go through the day today, celebrate and rejoice in God. When difficulties seem to be ready to overwhelm you, remind yourself, and then say out loud, “The LORD is great!”
Dear Lord, You are great! Remind me of Your greatness today as I face the difficulties that are bound to happen. Remind me that You have everything under control and help me to rejoice in Your presence.
