Romans 11:25-36; 1 Samuel 21-22; Psalm 66
How often we fail to praise God for His amazing work. We take the miracles of nature for granted and fail to be in awe of God’s presence in our world. We expect good things to happen and then blame God whenever bad things happen. As a friend of mine once asked, “Why is it we always think we don’t deserve it when bad things happen and think we deserve the good things that happen?” Today, make this a day to recognize God’s presence in all areas of your life. “Come and see the works of God; He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.” (Psalm 66:5) Right now, outside the door a bird is singing his amazing song. The room is filled with the joyful strain. Can any music we make as humans be greater than that? God has provided for us in so many ways that we take for granted. We have clean water; we have air to breathe; we have food to sustain us. He provides for us when we don’t know that we need something and before we know we need it. Our God truly is an awesome God!
Lord, I thank You for the ability to type this message. There are many who don’t have that ability. I thank You for providing my daily needs: air, water, food, clothing and shelter. You have given me the ability to work. You have given me everything I have or ever will have. Most importantly, You have restored my relationship with You. Thank You!
